1. What this is
NULLWIRE (https://nullwire.org) is a free, non-commercial fan project run by the NULLWIRE team. By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
2. Who can play
You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you're younger, you need permission from a parent or guardian. You may have one account.
3. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
- Pick a username that isn't offensive, hateful, sexual, or pretending to be someone else (including staff). We may change or remove usernames that break this rule.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account.
4. Fair play
Scores and ratings only mean something if everyone plays fairly. You may not:
- use bots, scripts, macros, solvers, auto-clickers or modified versions of the site to play for you;
- exploit bugs to gain points or ratings. Report them instead (see Report a vulnerability);
- use extra accounts, or arrange results with other players (win-trading), to push up a rating;
- harass other players.
Seen someone cheating? Email reports@nullwire.org with their username and what you saw.
5. Don't attack the site
The hacking in the games is fiction. Really breaking into computer systems without permission is a crime in the Netherlands (article 138ab of the Dutch Criminal Code) and almost everywhere else. So you may not:
- try to get into other players' accounts or data;
- overload the site (DoS), spam the servers, or scrape it at high speed;
- test for security holes, except by following the rules on Report a vulnerability. Those rules give you safe permission to look for bugs, and we're happy when you do.
Future hacking challenges (CTF Ops) will say exactly what you are allowed to attack. Anything not listed there is off-limits.
6. What we do when rules are broken
The anti-cheat may automatically hide or reject suspicious scores, and an account or connection that sends many suspicious requests in a short time is automatically paused for 15 minutes up to 24 hours (see the privacy policy). A person may also remove scores, reset ratings, rename an account, or suspend or ban it. Attacks on the site may be reported to the police. Bans are always decided by a person. If you think we got it wrong, email contact@nullwire.org and we'll take another look.
7. XP, levels and Creds
XP, levels, Creds and other in-game items have no money value. They can't be exchanged for money and don't belong to you outside the game. We may rebalance or reset them, for example to fix a bug or remove the effects of cheating. If we ever sell anything, separate terms will apply to those purchases.
8. Fan content
This is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by CD PROJEKT RED. Cyberpunk and Cyberpunk 2077 are trademarks of CD PROJEKT S.A., and other names belong to their respective owners. The site's own code, text and design are our work. Don't copy them without permission.
9. No guarantees
The site is offered for free, "as is". It may be down, contain bugs, lose progress, change, or shut down, sometimes without warning. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any damage from using the site, such as lost progress or ratings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.
10. Ending
You can stop at any time and delete your account on the Account page. We may close accounts that break these terms.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll announce important changes on the site. These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another EU country, you keep the consumer protections of that country.
