// 1V1 · ONE SHARED MATRIX
BREACH DUELS
HOW DUELS WORK
- You and your rival share one code matrix and one cursor. You take turns, one pick each.
- Every pick flips the line (row → column → row…), so your pick decides where your rival must pick next.
- Each of you has a 7-slot buffer and 3 daemons. All 6 daemons are visible.
- Whoever first gets a daemon's sequence in their buffer claims its points, even if it's the rival's daemon. Hijack!
- Ends when every daemon is claimed, both buffers are full, or the line has no free cells. Most points wins.
- ⚡ Live: both online, a chess clock of 60 s each + 3 s per move. Run out and you lose. Ranked and casual queues.
- ✉ Async: Wordfeud-style, 24 hours per move. Ranked via Find opponent; friend challenges are unrated.
- Overclocked: shared ICE on the board (corrupted cells cost 50 points, a firewall locks a column until anyone claims a daemon, and in live games an active trace shortens both clocks), plus your cyberdeck: fire one quickhack per turn, before your pick. Every quickhack is free for everyone.
